MatchJot is developed by POLARIS MATRIX LABS MA. It records your handball observations, not official match results.
Your match records stay on your device
Player and goalkeeper names, numbers, team names, opponents, events, tracked playing time, settings and used free-match allowance are stored locally. iOS uses a private Application Support file with atomic replacement. The web preview uses browser local storage. Validated older WebView data can be migrated, with its original cache retained. No MatchJot account, app-managed cloud sync or automatic upload of match records is implemented. Apple device backups depend on your system settings. Uninstalling or clearing storage can remove records: export a full backup first.
Exports and sharing are your choice
CSV, JSON backups and match images are created only when requested. The iOS share sheet sends them to the destination you choose; temporary share files are stored in the app cache. Images hide names by default, but you can choose to include them. Backups and other exports may contain names and numbers, including children's information. Check the file and recipient before sharing. Copies outside MatchJot are controlled by their recipients and are not deleted when you delete a match.
Apple purchases and RevenueCat
The ordinary iOS app includes RevenueCat for subscription validation and access, as well as subscription reporting in its dashboard. Apple handles payment; MatchJot does not receive payment-card details. Purchase history, transaction and entitlement status, a RevenueCat-generated anonymous app user ID and technical information needed for subscription processing are exchanged with these services. Match names, events and the local free-match ledger are not sent to RevenueCat. Processing supports the subscription contract and our legitimate interest in access validation, fraud prevention and subscription reporting. The web preview and owner Debug build do not perform purchases.
Your private Support ID
In ordinary iOS, Settings and View plans show the current anonymous ID returned by the RevenueCat SDK when available. The SDK remembers it on the installation; reinstalling may change it. MatchJot does not create a second ID, include it in match exports/backups or automatically copy it. Copy Support ID writes it to the system clipboard only after you tap that button. Clipboard handling by the operating system and other apps is outside MatchJot. Share the ID privately with support, never in public posts. Web, Debug and lookup failures show an unavailable explanation instead of a made-up identifier.
No advertising or match analytics service
This build has no advertising SDK, cross-app advertising tracking, custom account login, location collection or contacts access. It has no separate remote match-analytics service. RevenueCat's subscription analytics are distinct from your locally recorded sports statistics. Using RevenueCat means this app must not be described as collecting no data.
Deletion and retention
Your local records remain until you remove them. Deleting moves a record to Recently deleted; permanent deletion or Empty recently deleted requires confirmation. Used free-match allowance remains separately stored and is not refunded by deletion. Clearing MatchJot's records does not cancel a subscription, delete Apple/RevenueCat transaction records or erase shared files and older backups. Apple and RevenueCat retain service/transaction information under their applicable policies; no unverified retention period is promised here.
Support and privacy requests
Email [email protected] or visit our support page. If you voluntarily send your email, name, Support ID or a necessary attachment, we process it to answer your request. Sending an ID with contact details can link your subscription record to you. This is optional, not an app login, and we do not use it for advertising. Support correspondence is retained for up to 24 months in accordance with our company policy, unless a shorter period is appropriate or a legal obligation requires retention. Send only necessary information; never passwords, Apple keys or payment-card details. Do not send identifiable children's match files unless needed for your request.
Your rights and children's information
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to applicable processing by emailing us. We respond within 30 days; lawful exceptions and identity verification may apply. You can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. MatchJot is intended for coaches, parents and other recorders, not a social network for children. A child's name or number entered for a match stays on the device unless you choose to share it. Be responsible for the information you enter and disclose. Removing local files does not cancel subscriptions or override statutory financial record retention. Providers may process service information outside the EEA under their applicable data-processing and transfer safeguards; see their privacy policies below.
